Closing a Group

Proposed a group and it hadn't been approved.
I thought it wouldn't be so I proposed a similar one with a slightly different title and description.
Both eventually got approved but one would be enough.
Is there a way for a moderator to close a group?

Along similar lines I would love to see a way to combine groups. There are so many with very similar listings. The big one for me is the numerous groups listings for travel related housing. The become cumbersome to wade through .
