Activating urls.

I've noticed that often when people post urls, they are not active.
I find this really annoying, as it means you have to copy and paste
it to the address bar.

I don't know if it's the same for other programmes and machines,
but I find that if I place the curser at the end of the url, and then
hit return before hitting submit, it activates the link.

If you want to embed a link into a piece of text, e.g.. "Site FAQ"

Type you message elsewhere, paste the link url on the next line under
the text that you want to embed.

"Site FAQ"
https://www.truenudists.com/group/148

Paste it all to Notepad, and then copy from there and paste it into the new post.

Highlight the url, right click, and click on "Cut"

Highlight the text you want to embed, (I like to make it bold to make the link obvious)

Click on the little chain icon next to the tree. (A box will appear)

Paste the url into the top field. (ignore the other fields)

Click on "Insert"
and click on "Submit"

LOL! Phil...there is a much easier way...

1. Go to the page you want to link and copy the url
2. Come here to the forum (or group) posting and type in a title
3. Highlight the title, click on thechain icon and pastethe url in the "link url" box
done.

Sounds easy, but I can't find a chain icon. I know that I've seen it in the past but it doesn't appear here. I've tried changing toolbars but no luck.

It may be annoying but it is MUCH safer to copy and paste this way.

Reason is, anyone can claim the link is one thing but add a link to something completely different.
Yahoo.com note- this link will take you to Google instead.
