Swimsuits are one of the easiest items to remove once you are on the beach, so I have worn one on Blacks Beach and Haulover Beach, at least until I could drop what I was carrying and remove the swimsuit. Actually getting a swimsuit wet because you havent taken it off once on the beach is the part I hate. I had to experience that for the first time in a long time last year on a cruise when we used the hot tub. I was miserable when we got out and I had to sit in a dripping suit for the rest of the afternoon.

I just spent a week at a non-nude beach resort, so I spent most of each day in a wet swimsuit. I had forgotten how annoying that is.

So that was your first cruise other than Bare Necessities in a long time?

At this point I haven't worn a swimsuit on a NJ beach in about 6 years. This may change tomorrow since we are going to Cape May for the weekend.

In Cape May but having rain showers so I won't be going to the beach. Disappointed in a way, but will have my sixth consecutive year of not wearing a swimsuit on a NJ beach.

I usually wear a swimsuit instead of shorts when I leave my car at the clothing optional beach. I often set down my gear and take off the swimsuit once I am out of sight of the road. I have seen men on the path wearing only a thong, wrap, towel or tiny loincloth that was very little cloth and mostly loin. Someone wearing a thong said he often takes it off as soon as he across the road and on the path since it is difficult to tell from behind he is wearing it or not.

I sometimes wear a short Sarong if i need to cover up when going to the beach, lot easier to put on and take off
