I think that as long as both individuals are happy with whatever is going on that it is both acceptable and perhaps even needed, At my advanced age I no longer worry what other people think, and am only concerned by strangers feelings. If I was in a bromance and I felt that me and my buddy were headed in that direction I would say lets go for it.
