First timer to Blacks Beach

Im going to Blacks Beach for the first time on Sept 10th. Any recommendations as to better locations to park myself?

The glider port is the best place to park. The trail down to the beach is steep , so take your time and be safe. Ditto when walking out.

There are three well-known access routes to Black's Beach. Two involve a steep hill and one is flat walking. The hill at the Glider Port has about 260 steps built into the hill (it's about half of the hill). You need to be paying attention going up and down, it's about 200 feet elevation change from top to bottom. The other steep hill is further north at the end of the parking lot, there are no steps built into the hill and it's more challenging. The third option is to park at Torrey Pines State Beach. You have to pay if you use the parking lots (parking at Glider Port is free), or you can park along the roadway that runs parallel to the State Beach for free, but you'll need to arrive early to get a spot. Then you walk south for two miles, it's all flat and much easier.
