These Nigerian scammers are good at using psychology to get you hooked. A few years ago I got snookered by a bunch of hot ladies. But once I learnt about Tineye search, I realized that the pics were all stolen from porn star websites.
Ironically, most of the naked single ladies on the Gallery are from porn sites, not members of TN.
Boy, now I feel bad. I hardly ever get friend/message requests from the bots/scammed. Must be chopped liver instead of spam bait...
Dont feel bad. I don't get a dozen either. I think it may correlate with the number of friends you keep because they scour friends lists. I wouldnt be surprised if the ones getting a dozen requests are guys that have many many friends.
They also join popular groups and target people who post. And they also target people who have just signed on using the search function. I'll often get a friend request or message within minutes of signing on. Finally, you have to fit the profile of someone who would fall for their scam. If you have friended a lot of other fake profiles, that might make you a target. One time I friended a profile that I thought was real, but must of be a master fake. For days after that I was flooded by messages and requests.
I've been getting requests from young women lately too. I usually ignore them, but a couple of times I've taken them up on their invitation to chat on other sites, such as skype. Eventually it comes out that they are after money, wanting me to send gift cards for some strange reasons. Then the chats end. I have no idea who they are, I don't think they are legitimate women though.
I don't think they are legitimate women though.
Most certainly not. The are some people here who have cleverly investigated these scammers. They are usually men, not women, and reside in west Africa. Recently, one was not even hiding that he was in Nigeria. It was like every beautiful white woman living in Nigeria decided to join True Nudist in a matter of a couple of weeks. A lot of these guys believe in quantity, not quality. The ones on the opposite end of the spectrum are more challenging, but they eventual slip up. I had one recently I thought was legit, but I eventually realized I was conversing with AI, so watch out for that. Another one was posing as a new employee of True Nudist looking root out spammers. The sad thing is that they must be having some success with their scams because the new fake/scam profiles far exceed legit ones. As a man, you really should not trust ANY friend request from a woman. Sad.
