... I can't wait till this generation is gone. Why don't we just wipe all of them (us) out now? Narrow-minded thknking is not age-specific.
Not a day goes by where I don't hope an asteroid the size of Africa comes crashing down on us.
How do you get all of your clothing required activities done in 4 hours a month or less? I average twice that just with grocery shopping! We shop online with an app and have them delivered. Because of my back issues if I go to an actual grocery store the cart is literally holding me up half way thru the store, so all shopping that can be done online is done so. I go to the post office when needed, to the dump twice a month, to the convenience stores when needed.
I would assume that you rarely attend public events sports, plays, concerts, etc.
Here's my personal interpretation on the difference between casual nudity at home and home-nudism. Again, my personal interpretation. Illustrated with two examples.
Casual nudity:
My wife is taking her bath while I'm watching TV. She comes out of her bath and into the living room - with just a towel wrapped around her head. She wants to remind me of the week's events, so we have a casual conversation about it. She then returns to the bathroom to finish her nighttime beauty routine. I then come to the bedroom and remove my clothes. The conversation from earlier resumes; this time with both of us nude. And we then both go to bed.
We've both hung out and interacted naked; but it was mostly just a practical function of preparing for bedtime.
Home nudism:
It's Sunday and we've got nothing planned. So we jointly decide we're going to spend it in "nudist-style." We both get naked, play a board game, cook dinner together and watch a movie. The goal is to specifically do all these things while naked.
There are of course levels to it, from full-time nudity at home to "just on special occasions." But the idea is still the same. To purposefully dispense with clothing to the extent that it's almost like you're at a resort. It's a mindset.

Do you both usually sleep nude?
It is a mindset, ours is, as long as its warm enough the door is locked and we expect no visitors then clothes are not necessary.
After work, usually, we cook and eat our evening meal naked, talk about our day then settle down reading or watching some TV before bed.
Do you both usually sleep nude?
Me: 100% of the time.
My wife: it varies. Something like nude 50% of the time, just topless 30% of the time, and shorts and T-shirt 20% (it can get cold around here). At a nudist venue she's nude 100% of the time.

I guess that my definition is different from yours. I would say that anyone who frequently sleeps nude and is what you call casually nude at times is a home nudist.

We usually spend our time on projects around our place. We haven't gone out much since we retired. Both of us have had multiple back surgeries, so we aren't the most mobile people in the world. When I stopped going to the grocery store I walked in got a cart made it about 50' and my back gave out. We do go out every so often, but not like we used to. Hope that clarifies things for you.

Yes it does. Thank you.
You raise a really good point, it really comes down to how people define the word nudist.
Traditionally, a nudist (or naturist) is someone who embraces social nudity as a lifestyle, not just at home, but also in shared spaces like beaches, clubs, or resorts. Its about comfort with your own body and respect for others in a non-sexual, communal setting. For many, the connection with nature is also a big part of it.
When people say home nudist, it often means they only feel comfortable practicing nudity in their private space. Maybe they like the freedom of being nude at home (cooking, cleaning, lounging, sleeping), but dont extend that comfort into social or public settings. Sometimes its due to personal preference, sometimes because of family, neighbors, or legal restrictions.
Youre right though, by that definition, almost everyone has been a nudist at some point, since we all bathe, change, or sleep without clothes. The difference is that nudists usually view nudity as more than just functional, its part of their lifestyle and identity.
