I know what you mean Phil, and when they try to improve your favourite food is the biggest joke of all.I've been eating McVities digestive biscuits since the early 1960's.
I have noticed how the quality has deteriorated over the years. But now they have the bloody nerve to tell us that their improved recipe with less fat, IS still the same original taste as before. AND to top it all they've gone and ruined the hobnobs. I bought at least 3 packs a week and now I won't waste my money on the crap.
