For your information like i stated above, the clubs/campgrounds i have mentioned without name dropping them are very happy to take the entrance fee very happily. But once inside its a different atmosphere towards me in my opinion, and its my experience that matters since im posting, and being judged here it seems. so lets name drop then.... lets start with sun ridge, took the fee, then tried socializing, didnt work, people there very uppity and full of themselves, never went back. only takes 1 time for me, thats the only shot, then i never go back if i do not like treatment towards me. that was over 15 yrs ago, do not care about times changing or whatever excuse it is out there. you had a shot, and blew it, i am out after that. not wasting my time, money, again. Lets talk about Solair.... went on Memorial day many years ago, again, happily took my entrance fee, then a woman in a golf cart gave me the tour, after said tour she brought me back to my car but before parting stated that if kids in hot tub, or sauna, do not go in them, also if i happened to be enjoying those , if kids come and get in while i am occupying them, to get out and leave. Ok... not a pedophile, i have encountered kids at Dyer woods, not new to this lifestyle, i go my way, they go theirs, it pretty clear. also it was made EXTREMELY clear that after 3 visits to Solair, i MUST make a decision if i wish to buy property there and become a lifer.... REALLY???? again, after 1 visit, i didnt even stay all day i left around 2-3pm and have never gone back. Dyer woods seemed to be the place for me for a while, i helped with cleanups in the fall and spring to gain day passes and make friends, which i did for a few years, then it started to feel like noone wanted to socialize unless i was gay, which i am not, or i was bringing my Husqvarna back pack leaf blower and fuel/oil to clear whole lots people had residences on, while others didnt help me, and the others there were clearly there to socialize more than work. the Dyer Woods equipment kept constantly breaking down, and warranted lots of time in repairs to some members. yet others were basically pretending to drag rakes around and not do much more. i have bad rotator cuffs so to blow leaves for 8 hours on a day off for day passes that didnt carry over to the next season just wasnt worth it to me so i stopped going there a few years ago. Vermont is nudist friendly, the ledges, rock river, lake Willoughby, free nudist areas. nude hiking day, again free, WNBR/W again free to do. and out of all the places mentioned i have kept in touch, or tried to with a few i swapped contact info with but it takes 2 to tango. It gets old constantly trying, and noone else is. I have been out on my own since age 15, no help ever from anyone, and into the naturist/ nudist lifestyle since age 20. i am currently 56 and this is life as i know it. i make plans, go places, do things, mostly solo because cannot count on anyone these days it seems to be at a time, day, place, etc. no matter what state i go to, i book nudist friendly Airbnb's, and i go, and i find places i can go and be nude solo in remote locations where i will not run into people that frown on the lifestyle. and if i get spotted then oh well, no harm no foul. I have encountered law enforcement a few times and been warned. nothing more. so tired of all the judges coming forward thinking they know me, when they have no clue, you have not walked in my shoes. you have not had a divorce, a child battling cancer 10 yrs,, tryin to make ends meet, and keep insurance on your kid for treatments/operations, had life savings almost wiped out by a skank ex who ddnt care about anything but herself, and literally have nothing and have to start over not once, but 2 times in my life. have any of you???? i still remain optimistic there are good people out there even tho i have yet to meet them. we all have been through hard times, difficult situations. people need to stop bein so judgy and actually get to know another person before passin judgement. you have no idea what we have lived through, just like everyone with something to say is a total stranger to me as well
Im a single male, and am a member of two clubs and attend various eventsI havent had any issues, most club want you to visit a few times to make sure you are the right fit and maybe see if the club is the right fit for yourself too,I believe this is the same for couples and single women.
I try to get on with most folk and have made a few new friends .I believe most clubs like to have a certain ratio of male/female,which is totally understandable and there are far far more single guys than single ladies that try to join
Also unfortunately there are guys out there whose intentions are not exactly purely naturist which only makes things slightly more complicated for us genuine naturists
Totally agree! I have found my fair share of single males in my travels over the years with not the best of intentions. And sadly, they ruin it for the rest of us with genuine good intentions. Encountered this at Dyer Woods and they actually put up trail cams on the hiking trails to deter, and find and single out the individuals ruining it for the rest of us. They would kick em off the property and ban them if caught. I also encountered this at Empire Haven in NY when it was open a few years ago.
