Problem with the titles

I am new on the site (only been a week) and have done some exploring. I have looked through the forums and one thing has stood out to me, after every name there was a title (textile, barefoot, topless, etc..). It took me a littlewhile to figure out that these were based on how many friendsa person has. I kind of have a problem with this. It seams the more friends you get the less likely you are to stay in touch with the friends you already have. I don't think people should be rewarded with a title for doing this, they should be rewarded based on friends feedback or how long you have been a nudist or even a certification status (its easy to do). I don't mean to be judgemental (The title Supernude does seam nice). I just think you will have more funwith 80 friends that you actuallytalk too other than tobe cluttered with900 you don't.Of course I could be missing the point.

Oh, and if you were wondering why I am not certified after saying that it is easy. I sent in the request earlier this week, it's just taking long (probably because of the holidays).

Actually the titles are based solely on the number of post you have in the forums. If you look in rules to post you will find the brakeout as to when you move to a different title. Odd thing is when the title changes it changes on all of your pervious posts.
