"Those of us on this side of the pond find soccer to be rather boring" -- speak for yourself, not everybody finds it boring, especially those who played it for many years. if you want to talk about boring sports to watch, how about golf. the person hits a little white ball then walks after it and hits it again.

Thanks to the Scots we have golf but I don't believe that golf was ever intended to be a spectator sport.
We have to thank one of our British friends for these words of wisdom about baseball. Baseball is a game where they pack 15 minutes of excitement into 4 hours. I think a similar thing couldalso be said about soccer.
