California Beach Cleanup and Party - 9/21/13

Every year on the third Saturday in September, people join together at beach sites all over California to take part in the State's largest volunteer event, California Coastal Cleanup Day. The event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, which is one of the largest volunteerevents on the planet!
This year, the Southern California Naturist Assoc. (SCNA) and Friends of Bates Beach are in charge of this annual
event at North Rincon (Bates) Beach, on the Ventura/Santa Barbara county line, one mile south of Carpinteria.
We'll meet at the Pavilion right off the parking lot at 9 AM and after registering, we'll cleanup Bates until about noon!
Please come out and help us show the community that we, as naturists, care about our beaches and keeping them clean!
The cleanup will go from 9 AM until noon and we welcome any and all who can come out and help clean up Bates,
whatever time you can get there!
After noon, we'll head up to what was the traditional clothing-optional section of the Beach to party for the rest of the afternoon! Bring your own lunch, drinks, towels, chairs, umbrellas, and we'll relax as naturally as possible.
Although we are working with the county to change its nudity ordinance, and the cleanup is part of that effort, the anti-nudity ordinance is still in effect at this beach at this time. Wearing less than a bathing suit is done at your own risk.
Go as bare as you dare!
Again, we welcome any and all who can join us on the 21st to help restore the beach to it's natural state,
and eventually to it's traditional clothing-optional status!

Jaybirds, how'd the beach clean up and party go? Would have loved to participate but ... grandkids have a way of keeping us close to home and busy on weekends. :D
