RE: Getting started

Good point Rick. I got started with a CL ad and I was lucky enough to work with a very reputable artists right off the bat. Everything worked out great and I built a portfolio and got a great reference and it snow balled form there. CL doesn't always work out like that though of course.

RE: Getting started

You may want to try artmodelbook.com. There is a link to several figure drawing groups on there. Some may be interested in forwarding their model list for you to contact. You also may want to try modelmayhem.com for a source of models. Good luck.

RE: Getting started

I got started when I saw an advert for an art college that I was attending saying they short of models so thought I give it a go and have not looked back. Have found contacting places that offer life drawing and painting courses meets with some success. As in the UK, I am a member of the register of Artist models (www.modelreg.co.uk) and this gets you some work, either by places that use the register to book their models or artists that use the model list. Have used a variety of sites such as craiglist to advertise online, but always wise to check out what the artist/photographer really wants and that they are genuine.

I applied for my first nude modeling job and I would like advice on how to be successful and what type of question I should ask during the interview.
