Stainless allergy?

I used to have a PA years ago. It was not a big one and I liked how it looked. But I took it out because even though it had healed, my penis seemed to always be sore at the piercing and a few days after I took it out, it was fine. I've since read that some people have allergies to stainless steel. Has anyone else ever had a similar problem?

RE: Stainless allergy?

It could be the quality of the steel. A lot of people have a nickel allergy and the cheaper steel has a higher quantity of that metal. I discovered my nickel allergy from my earring post. Even though the description said surgical steel post, my ear began to itch and turn bright red. I now have to use silver or gold coated posts. I use titanium for my PA and haven't had any issues.

I only wear implant grade titanium. I do agree with the comment, this jewelry is going into your body, why cheap out?
