Recently our home clubs management posted a notice of membership rate increase, suspending entry of anyone that has unpaid membership fee and utility's from last year until it is brought current. (bare in mind fees are annually due prior to opening day) New stricter rules on personal places being maintained and kept in good repair. Plus a few other changes. OMG you would have thought evil was let loose by some long time members. Luann and I watched our clubs page blowing up the management over such evil deeds all week.

So Luann and in talking about just know people don't like change and particularly the older we get. We really don't see what there all up in arms about. Membership hasn't been raised in 5 years. Fewer and fewer of us do sweat equity at the club so it has to be hired done. Us being in business understand you have to adjust your business model or your going to lose it. How can people be upset for not being able to come to club when they haven't paid for last year yet but some are butt sore about it. Being naked doesn't mean your of reasonable mind.

Luann and I do understand why some changes in operating procedures there, I finally sent a PM to the management this morning in support of them and got a nice reply back. You guys ever see me being a hard headed old man please let me know I am!

I not only get what you're saying but have seen it and heard it first hand!

Our club is a Co-Op and I'm amazed at how many residents get their towels bunched up the cracks of their butts over some minimal price increases. Lots of members who have membership and visit only a couple times a year, get bent outta shape over a hike of 2, 3, 5 dollars for day use fees. They complain about every thing and usually contribute close to nothing. I pay it to ensure that place will be there when I want to visit. We don't visit that often so I don't complain. The club is a business and needs to make money just to keep running. Too many nudists think that they charge too much. They obviously don't have a clue what it takes to keep a place like that in business.

I'd always said that I'd either love to own a clothing optional venue or manage one until I've seen the job and duties of the owners and managers... ahhhhhh, NO THANKS! :DDD

I have noticed that many people won't help if there are others doing the work. They will enjoy the benefits but not help. Well, one way to help is to give money. If they are not willing to donate voluntarily, billing them works. If they don't like it, they can volunteer!

We have seen the exact same thing at Forty acres, the more we hire out to be done the higher the rates have to be, So many seem to not understand the connection between the two, we have had to increase the rates to pay for everything from mowing to putting roofs on, cant have it both ways, Part of it I blame on the fact of membership being older, some cannot really do anything like they did when younger, but the younger members also seem to follow the older ones, We joined several years ago and a simple pat on the back went a long way , the praise is still available but the workers often are not.

I have seen this also at the club I belong to. We aquired new owners 3 years ago and a lot of change has happened. It is now finally being run like a business and a lot of the older ones did not like that because now bills have to be paid on time or the key gets turned off to get in the gate.. Prices have gone up on everything and that I understand. The one thing he did slack on was raising our lot rent to the people who were already established. At first he wanted to double it out the gate but too many cried foul on that. So at least ours is going up gradually but new people coming in pay the higher rate. Eventually all of us will be caught up to the same price. Another issue we had was when younger people would come some of the older ones didn't like that. As for me I am welcoming of younger people. Without them it will soon surely die.
