Artistic Photos

This is a place to post your "artistic" photos for others to view and enjoy. However you choose to define "artistic" is up to each individual. The genesis of this idea for me was having taken some shadow/silhouette photos, wanting to share them, but not really knowing where to post them. They are "soft" nude photos that are more provocative than explicit. Hoping...

RE:The purpose of this group

Not sure I know exactly what you mean by your statement. However, the group name being "Artistic Photo's" should be pretty clear. I think all the photo's should have some artistic merit, we should be able to see that the photographer has been creative or has thought about the shot posted. Sadly there are too many dick pics that people post and claim they are artistic. Don't get me wrong, some shots can be arty but most are not. Many genital close up's are for shock or for a thrill it seems. Some however are really goo. But then maybe the interpretation or art is in the eye of the viewer ...

Crappy photos

I don't think headless photos or dickshots are the slightest bit artful. Neither are blurry out of focus ones.

Your Founder/Moderator responds (belatedly): I suppose you'll be wanting your money back? Oh, wait...

In the "ABOUT" text, I clearly state:
"Please share photos that have some artistic value - up to each individual to decide what that means to him/her. Please limit photos to ones that (a) you took, (b) you are in the photo, or (c) both (a photo you took of yourself). Please avoid posting (a) regular profile-type pictures with no artistic element, (b) repetitious photos similar to others in a series, or (c) graphic/explicit photos not appropriate for TN. Feel free to comment on photos by posting to the "discussion" area - or seek out the member and comment directly."

I am in my 12th year of actively moderating this group single-handedly, a group I founded to give members a place to share beautiful photos. I try to have a light touch, because indeed - Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. I greatly appreciate all the positive and constructive comments I received over the past decade+. Occasional NAYSAYERS and COMPLAINERS... NOT SO MUCH.
