Trim the back or no?
Return to DiscussionsIm a fairly hairy guy and used to at least trim my back hair but then stopped at some point cause it was too much workplus I figure Im hairy why not just embrace it. Why I enjoy going to bear events cause then Im surrounded by other hairy men and admirers who love and embrace the hairy bodies
When I was growing up I hated being so hairy and found it embarrassing, I used to shave my back once a week then when I finally came across the 'bear' scene and saw how it's a big attraction to some I left it and left it hairy every since.
Only once since then has my back been shaved but that was a misunderstanding by a Turkish barber who I thought was just trimming the hair at the top of my shoulders lol.
I had forgotten how much it itched when growing back!

When I was young and misbehaving, my grandfather would say "You're going to itch where you can't scratch. " I didn't really understand what that meant until my pubes started growing back after being shaved for a hernia operation.
The life lesson: belonging is more important that its opposite fitting in - albeit the latter is a malformed coping strategy to a trauma infested (childhood) environment.
Find your tribe.
Know thy self.
To thy own self be true.
Be yourself, unless you can be a Pirate, then be a Pirate.
Truth is, everyone is gonna let you down, you just have to find those worth suffering for!
In my case, a work in progress.
