Third year in a row with Carnival

Return to Discussions

Since the 2017 cruise on the Carnival Pride was our favorite nude cruise, we were happy to sign up for 2018 on the Victory and now 2019 on the Sunshine. For 2019 we are returning to Cozumel, the first port from our first nude cruise in 2013 (also on Carnival). After a great time on Half Moon Cay in 2017, it is nice to see it added in both 2018 and 2019 as well.

W weren't thriled with the itinerary, ship or pricing for the 2019 cruise, but we booked it anyway lol. This will be our first time in an interior cabin, all our previous cruises being balcony or suite staterooms. We just couldn't justify the price BN was charging for a balcony cabin on the 2019 cruise.

Anyway, it will be fun to do 2 years in a row, as our first BN cruise was in 2016.

We did interior in 2013 and it was just as fun as having a balcony on a textile cruise... you just need to remember to bring a nightlight! We, too, went with an interior this time (and probably will keep doing so if we want to go every year). There is always the possibility of a cheap upgrade. In 2015 we went from an inside to an outside for $100 each, well below what getting an outside right away would have cost. This year we had a "French Door Interior" for less than an outside, and it even had a balcony door... no balcony, just a view between two lifeboats! 2018 is the only year we've actually splurged for an outside, with a forward facing cabin. I don't remember why... maybe the cost difference wasn't that high. Otherwise, the pool deck is our balcony!

These nude cruises will spoil you for regular cruises (but since you've never been on one, you won't know the difference). We stopped taking regular cruises for a while, but last year started up our Labor Day Week cruises for our anniversary again.

My biggest suggestion is to relax, have fun and get to know people. We have made some great friends on the BNB cruises!

You might also want to join the BN forum, which you should have gotten a link to in your booking confirmation. A lot of great information and advice there!

Welcome aboard!
