Trying to convince the wife...

Return to Discussions

So Ive accepted that my backyard sanctuary is gonna be like a 50 yr plan but I really want to try and justify adding a backyard bath or shower preferably an open shower but one step at a time. I live in a neighborhood with neighbors on both sides. I have recently installed a 6 white privacy fence. Stage one complete lol. Im working towards building a deck and patio with a covered area for lounging with a pergola and probably some sheer curtains. I want to add some trees and other things to give it some shade and privacy from the neighbors.

With a wife that probably never explore outside naked. Let alone out of the bedroom. But her parents who live in Boston area near the beach have an outdoor shower which I love so much. How can I convince her to add something for bathing or showering in the backyard?

We dont have a beach or pool anywhere nearby. Just a husband who kills himself in the yard on his days off and sweats to the point of soaking his clothing. Thats about it.

Any and all tips/ suggestions are welcome. You never know what might work lol.

Thanks
~Mark

Mark, remember baby steps. Slowly introduce your wife to the relaxing friendly nudist lifestyle then maybe later tackle the interest of the shower. The rest of the backyard ideas sound great. Have a great weekend, Simba

Yea. Youre right. I just figured that would be a much more permanent detail to add with all the piping and stuff so I thought should I go ahead and knock out all the big structures in the garden cuz adding it later could prove to be more work. Who knows. Plus maybe having the option to enjoy a nice bath or shower outside might entice her to try??

Confucius says "It's easier to ask forgiveness than get permission." It's also what my friend that owns a hardware store whispered to me when I was eyeing a $600 DeWalt saw. :D
