True??? Police stopping nudity??

Return to Discussions

I haven't managed to get to B2B since 2011, but I hope to do it again some day.But I've just heard a disturbing rumor.I heard that at the 2015 run, the police were immediately ordering naked people to get dressed--and citing them if they didn't. Is that true?I travel 2700 miles each way to go to Bay to Breakers, and I do it ONLY to walk butt naked from the shadow of the SF/Oakland Bay Bridge to the Pacific Beach at the far end of Golden Gate Park. If I can't go naked, I don't want to make the trip.

RE: True??? Police stopping nudity??

While I heard about some folks getting harassed by the police, I ran the entire race nude last year and had no problems. Except for Hayes Street hill, I ran the whole way. Perhaps it was walkers who had problems. I've run the race naked for the past three years and was never even approached by the authorities. You may want to check out the Bare 2 Breakers forum on www.streaking.us for other peoples experiences.
