Getting an erection on a nude beach
Return to DiscussionsWhile it does not happen all the time, there are times when I am laying on my back on a nude beach that I get an erection. Often I will lift my knees so as to not have my erection as visible and other times I will roll over. I find hiding an erection to be somewhat odd especially given that it is a naturally occurring condition, mostly brought on by arousal, but sometimes brought on just because you are naked enjoying the feeling of the sun and wind on your body, like when on a nude beach. One time when I was at a nude beach in Europe, I was on my back soaking up the sun and developed a full erection. Because I was in Europe, where things from my understanding are more liberal, I decided not to roll over or lift my knees and stayed on my back laying flat with my erection. I remained fully erect for a good couple of hours just laying there soaking up the sun.
Having an erection made me feel completely exposed and I have to say that it felt absolutely great being in this state among many nude people. No one said anything which leads me to believe that those who saw me were very accepting of me being in the condition I was enjoying - naked with a full erection. I am wondering if others have had similar experiences.
I was in europe and got an erection while chatting to someone on the beach (it was underwater but the water was really clear). He noticed but we just kept chatting as normal.
It depends on the context: if you are just laying there, not particularly close to anyone and just minding your own business with an erection, most people would either enjoy the view, find it amusing, or not really care. Highly unlikely anyone would go up to you and tell you off for it, unless you were actively masturbating or staring at someone at the same time. That being said, I still do tend to hide any erections I get at nude beaches/events just because I don't want anyone to think I'm there for the wrong reasons/to avoid causing offence but rationally I know 90% of people couldn't care less about it.
I have never had an erection at a nudist venue, wether it be the beach or at the resort I go to . Even the first time at the nude beach attached to our Jamaican resort on our honeymoon. Didn't know how "he" would react around other nude people but after a few minutes I was as comfortable in my nudity as I could be.
In my opiniom an erection is a sign that your body is feeling comfortable. Quite normal for nudists that like to be naked and enjoy that status in open air with others around. I have experienced erections from myself and from other men several, times, and not a single time uncomfortaable situations occured. As long as you give it no special attention an erection is considered as a natural reaction and will vanish from itself again. Also we are not ashamed to show ourselves naked to the world, including our manhood. Then why should we bother that at times our penis is visible in full stretch.

Exactly. Im tired of men apologizing for their biology as if its bad and somehow woman's are the definition and standard of right and wrong simply because their nervous systems ups & downs are less obviously apparent.
And mind you; this is from ass open women and girls who literally went out their way to wind up in public surrounded by male genitals in full view of every other body part, but offended by just ones natural functions.

This is a soap box ive been ready to climb on for a while. Part of a bigger one Ill address one day about this Nudity doesnt equal Sex mantra brought up constantly, for erroneous reasons I wont get into yet. Lol
I have been a nudist for many years...first time nude on the beach with my wife was extremely exciting for both of us...we were alone...so...we had sex and then enjoyed the rest of the day! Eventually it wasnt an issue being nude in public and the erections didnt happen.....now....my 2nd marriage....totally different! I was use to being naked on the beach.. it was all new for her! There is a middle way. Erections happen, it's natural. But what do we do with an erection when we have one?
The Naturist's rejection of sex is to overcome a popular misunderstanding - that all nudity is sexual or porn. We would be lying if we pretended we never have sex just because we are nudists. It is something normally done in private. Equally we enjoy being naked for non sexual reasons. We know of nude beaches which have been closed because of open sexual activity. And we know of other beaches where open sex is taken as normal activity (often with men watching).
It's happened to me on several occasions. Initially I would just stay on my towel or sit on the lounger until it goes away. My friends all tell me to embrace it and keep on moving, however I feel self conscious if no other person in our area is sporting an erection. I have noticed that many guys coming out of the water are typically in the erect or somewhat erect state and it doesn't appear to be a bother. My new take on life whenever I make it back to the beach is if it happens to just keep doing what I'm doing. It will go down in time and as long as I'm not offending anyone it should be okay.
