Hi Vimmy,

There are a lot of resources here that can help guide you on your journey. You should read through forum post as well as blogs that interest you. Ask and respond to questions and visit local nudist venues.

Hi Vimmy,

What do you mean by responsible? Are there any things specifically that you're concerned about?

The simplest way to be a responsible nudist is to be a responsible person. What you can do naked depends really on how brave you are and where you live. For example in the UK it is legal to be naked in public anywhere. While I have walked with a group in the forest, I wouldn't be brave enough to walk through a city centre.

There are just two basic rules: (1) always sit on a cloth you carry with you; and (2) do not take photos of anyone (even in the background) without their permission. Nudism is not about sex. Each has it's place, one quite separate from the other. Erections happen, it's how you deal with them that counts. Having said that there are nudists venues/beaches which are explicitly sexual, just don't confuse them with other venues/beaches. So just get naked and relax - be your true self. You can look at the nudists around you but don't stare. Oh and remember that, when naked, you will have no pockets.

I would also remember that to children who are not used to a nudist environment, naked people walking around can be a little scary. Likely, their mothers would herd them away from you anyway- but try to be considerate and not just walk by a grammar school naked right after the dismissal bell rings or something.

It depends on their age. Generally small children do not have any problem with nudity. That only changes as adults teach them it's wrong.

Having said that, many textile parents over react to nudism and can get quite aggressive. As always common sense, courtesy and respect for others goes a long way to helping the situation.

Many textiles are offended "on behalf of" others who *may* be offended.
