I love vintage nudist photos, they have such a unique quality. Am especially drawn to Black and White, and as jhardwood says in his Post (Looking for male models. . . ) elsewhere in the Group discussions, Black & White "you see more texture and beauty." One thing I especially appreciate is that subjects are almost always barefoot, nude from head to toe, giving a sense of oneness with Nature and contact with the Earth. Especially in our materialistic and secular society, contact with the Earth has an almost Spiritual ring to it. When I see photos where the subjects are fully nude except that they're wearing shoes (sometimes even shoes and socks!) I find that it shatters the whole mysticism of nudity and what a photo can say. It even looks funny in an awkward kind of way, naked people running around in shoes and socks.
Are shoes and socks just my hangup, or do others feel the same way as I do?
