Buff Gardeners

This is tick season once again in Indiana. Rumor has it it might be a bad year and there are reports that some newticks previously unseen this far north might appear. The one article I read mentions in passing " it is time to cover up"Do any of you think like I do that covering up is the totally illogical response to ticks?I find the easiest way to spot or feel crawling on me a tick and flick him off is when I am bare. No place for him to hide. No matter how ' covered up " someone is ticks have a way of hopping on for the ride and do not show up until you strip down at the endof the day. I have never had a tick burrow into my skin, but have spotted or felt a few crawling on me which I then flick off.Thots?

RE: Ticks

I absolutely agree. I spend a lot of time outdoors naked in prime tick country and have never been bit. I can feel them land on me right away and delight at squishing them. The only problem we've had with ticks is when the textiles get them under their clothes and can't tell that the tick is there until it is too late.
