camping at Magic Circle

Return to Discussions

I was camping at Magic Circle last week and had a nice 3 days there.
Does anyone else here ever camp at the Magic Circle?

I'm planning on more trips this summer but will have to bring the generator to run the AC because temps are going up now.

Let me know if you ever go there.

I camped at the MC for 3 months in 2020. Full time RVing. Been wanting to go back for winter season but stuck in Nevada now.

I spent a few days in Quartzsite about a month and a half ago and was excited to visit Magic Circle for the day to go on a long, naked hike on the trails and experience social nudism for the first time. Unfortunately the weather was anything but conducive to outdoor nudism, but I'd like to try again sometime. I'm also curious about other nudist-friendly public lands and hope to take another trip in my camper van in the next week.

I am here at the Magic Circle now, April 19th (3 bars of Verizon and not competing for bandwidth with other campers). Nice cool breeze, especially for this time of year. Hiking Bare Trail was great, but did not see a soul on the trail. Most have left given the impending hot weather.

did you buy the year pass so you can camp in the off season?

I was told the BLM year pass is $70 and lets you stay in Magic Circle until Sept 15th

I'm planning on going there again in May. Probably going to be super hot but maybe I'll sweat off a couple pounds haha

Gilan---I only bought a three day overnight camping permit. My National Park Pass for seniors brought down the $15/night fee to $7.50/night. Pretty good deal for access to water, garbage dumpsters, and a dump station. Maybe I should have purchased the extended stay permit, but my wife and I will be travelling out of state for much of the time until mid-September.

As a side note. I did not see your post regarding your upcoming trip to the MC until I was already there. It would have been more enjoyable to camp there with a fellow TN member.

well I hope to spend a few days there this May

Probably not many people there in May and the rest of the summer. Too hot for most people
I will give it a try, I only live 90 minutes away.

Is that when you were continually nude for 3 months?

How did you manage for 3 months without running water and electricity?
