Took the yak out earlier this month and paddled around Apalachicola Bay. I spent most of my time around Gap Point. I met 4 others that were out for a couple hours early in the morning before the sun got too hot. There were a couple of anglers that came by looking for a spot to fish. One stopped, got his cast net out and threw it a few times. He caught a couple of fish but I wasn't close enough to see what they were.
I saw a couple of osprey's. I would like to paddle around Goose Island and see if I can get a look at the eagles nesting on the island. I did see a large pod of porpoises. They came swimming by chirping and chattering to each other quickly leaving me behind. I was in a relaxed mood and not paddling very fast. It was a perfect day for a nude paddle. Looking for others to join me for another trip.
