Another group (Caught nude/naked) does not have an active moderator so I created this group for us to share and have an active member. Hope you enjoy...
The Lock-out Game (long story)
Return to DiscussionsOnce upon a time, in a land far ago and long away, I belonged to a website for daring nudists called "Bare As You Dare". As the name implies, we used to issue dares to one another, with the stipulation that photos had to be taken AND POSTED as "proof" of having completed the dare. I devised a dare for the group I called "Lock-out". The object of the dare was to drive some distance from home, lock ALL your clothes in your vehicle, along with your KEYS, and then walk home...totally naked. Of course, as the "author" of this dare, I was required to complete it, myself, which I did. I found doing this so much fun that I did the dare quite a few times and got caught out in public, totally nude, twice! This is what happended...
I lived in a new housing development on the edge of town. About 6 blocks away from my home, my street intersected with a major highway and there was a service station with a convenience store, on the corner. I knew the owners and quite a few of the staff and, as one of their customers, I was familiar with their operating hours. To do the dare, I would drive my car to the service station late in the evening/early in the morning and park. I would get out of my car, strip naked, fold my clothes on the front seat, set the locks on the doors, toss my keys on the floorboard...and close the door. So I would be left standing beside my car, totally nude, with the keys and my clothes locked inside, with no recourse but to walk home to get my other set of keys to my car. It was great fun, slightly arousing, and quite exhilarating to stroll along the darkened streets, back to my home...naked, feeling the summer breeze on my body. (This is NOT a dare to be done in the winter in the Midwest! LOL) Usually, all the houses on my route were dark but, occasionally, a light would be on as someone prepared to go to work on an early shift, or perhaps someone who was having trouble sleeping made a cup of tea or coffee... I usually made it home without incidence. EXCEPT...
One time I was on line, in the chat room with the "Bare As You Dare" group, and one of them dared me to do the "Lock-out" dare right then! It was early in the morning (about 4:30 or so) and I thought I would have plenty of time to do the dare BEFORE the service station opened at 6 a.m. so I accepted, and OFF I went. It took me a few minutes to wake my wife and tell her where I was off to, put on some appropriate clothes and get going. By the time I got to the service station, it was about 5 a.m. I parked my car, got naked and did the "lock-up" routine, and had just started walking by the front of the convenience store...when, around the corner of the building came Jess, one of the store personnel, with the gasoline tank measuring rod in her hand! Oooops! It seems she had come in EARLY to do a weekly reading on the gasoline tank levels! She laughed and said, "What are YOU up to?", obviously not as embarrassed by my nudity as I WAS from her catching me! LOL. I told her I had lost a bet playing a game and had to walk home naked to "pay off the bet" and explained that the camera I had in my hand was for the "proof" photos. We chatted a bit more as she took her readings, and then she opened the store, turning on the lights. I followed her in and, as we were chatting, a car pulled into the station! I ducked into the small storeroom behind the counter and waited while a man came in and asked if he could get some gas. He didn't know if the station was open or not...but he saw the lights on in the store and figured maybe they were...and he NEEDED fuel so he thought he would see. Jess turned the pumps on for him and I stayed in the storeroom until he had pumped his gas, paid up, and left. By THEN the sky was starting to lighten up in the east, so I snapped a couple of QUICK photos, said good-bye to Jess...and HURRIED my way home! When I got home (without further incidence) my wife was up and making coffee in the kitchen. She asked what had taken me so long, and I told her about getting caught by Jess and then delayed by the early-bird customer. We laughed and enjoyed our morning coffee, and then I went on line to tell the group about my adventure!
On ONE other occasion, I was caught walking home naked by a couple in a passing car in my neighborhood. I had been to the service station, done my "naked and locked out" routine and was walking home. It was about 3 in the morning. I saw headlights approaching so I quickly stepped behind some shrubbery and waited 'til they went by, thinking they had not seen me, and then resumed my walk home. But, in fact, they HAD seen me! They circled the block and then, with their lights OFF, they drove up BEHIND me. Caught in the OPEN, with no where to go and nothing to hide behind, I just kept walking. The lady (who was driving) said to me, "You know...what you are doing is ILLEGAL." I paused on the sidewalk, then walked over to her car and said, "Well...at THIS hour I didn't really expect to SEE anybody that would complain to the police that they saw a naked man walking down the street." She laughed. Her passenger laughed. I laughed. I told them my "losing a bet" story and they commiserated with my "loss"...and drove away. This was in the days of dinosaurs, BEFORE everybody had a mobile phone glued to the side of their head so I wasn't too worried about the couple going home and actually calling the police, so I finished my walk, once again slightly exhilarated and slightly excited at being seen naked by others.
I did the "Lock-out" dare 10 or 12 times over that summer...and those were the only two times I was seen by others ( to MY knowledge, anyway! LOL).
"I guess ALL that sez is: I don't worry about cameras in MY area. Maybe I should...but I just don't."
, so I walk
Guys, I agree with Tanner. Today, almost everyone has a camera in their phone and takes photos of almost everything. I drive nude quite a bit. In the past five years, only one other driver has spotted me, a trucker beside me, as we crept through a construction zone on an interstate highway. His smile told me he enjoyed it. I will also add that most people today are way too busy playing with their phones while driving and never seem to notice anything around them.
In the 80s, when I started walking, there were no ring cameras or cell phones. I rarely encountered anyone other than the two I described in the earlier post; times were great back then for naked walks.
I do respect the current times and the prevalence of cameras everywhere. One of my favorite walks is just a block away. It is a dead-end street, approximately half a mile long, with a cul-de-sac at the end. It is a relatively new development of duplex townhomes for seniors. The walk to the end is nice, and doubly so on the return, passing the identical houses twice. There are maybe 7-8 cameras that I have noticed on doors. I was nervous at first, but figured, why would they be set to record things passing in the street? I walk in the center of the street, and so far, I have had no issues. However, the last time it rained, I walked the entire route along the street's edge, splashing the standing rainwater with my feet as the rain dripped off my ecstatic body.
I avoid businesses that I know have cameras, but I also keep in mind that they are usually not monitored unless there is a problem. I have refueled naked many times without being detected.
The one camera in which I know was activated by my presence was a Ring doorbell on an apartment where the door faced the door of the apartment we were staying in as a holiday rental. The first thing I knew about it was that, was as I left 'our' apartment nude for my early-morning walk. It activated the lights around the button putting my backside at the centre of a minor light show in the pre-dawn darkness. It didn't stop me repeating my behaviour on subsequent days since I figured I'd already been captured and I was less concerned in a holiday location rather than home. I did find that sliding through our doorway sideways was sometimes enough to prevent it triggering.
Near home I am more concerned since I figure it's more likely someone might get back to me, so I stay dressed until further away if I plan on a nude night walk. Some cameras have lights and sound that indicate when they are triggered, and some do activate when walking past on the footpath. I've taken to walking along the centre of the road when it's quiet, even when dressed, as I hate triggering cameras and sensor lights every time I pass regardless.

Steve, back in the computer Stone Age (late 1990's) when I was doing the Lock-out game and other dares with the "Bare As You Dare" gang, only the very wealthy would have had "security" cameras on their property, and those kinda folks didn't live in MY neighborhood! LOL.
All kidding aside, fast-forward to the 2000's, and all types of cameras abound, from doorbell security cameras to "everyone's" phone camera.
Add driveway sensor security lights and going for nude walks in certain areas can pose quite a challenge!
I live in a very quiet neighborhood, on a dead-end residential street. A great many of my neighbors are retired and go to bed early...so by about 10 p.m. most of the houses in the area have gone dark and silent. One of the neighbors, across the street and one house up, recently had a
driveway security light installed. I have yet to test the range of its sensors, but I will certainly do that with clothes on BEFORE I venture toward HIS house naked!
During the warmer months (it's still winter here in Oz) there is a small park in my area that I enjoy walking around and through, naked. To reach the pathway that leads to the park, I have to walk past residences 5 on my street, and I are PRETTY sure none of them have doorbell OR security cameras.
It is unfortunate to the Nth Degree that, in this day and age, when "we" claim to be so accepting of all sorts of alternate lifestyles, taking a casual stroll, nude, has to be done under cover of darkness so "society" can be protected from being offended by our nudity! Still, if one is going to walking around nude late at night, it is probably better to err on the side of CAUTION...than to be confronted by some irate/offended
moralistic citizen!
Plan walks to avoid confrontation. Stay SAFE. And stat NUDE!
Cheers!
