Cypress Cove

A group for people who live near or frequently visit Cypress Cove and want to let others know when they are going there.

It was recently announced that there will be a new general manager taking over at Cypress Cove. To my knowledge this will be the first time they have searched out a GM with intense qualifications. The person seems to have an extensive background in resort management. No mention of his knowledge of the nudist way of life. My concerns are.... Will his management mentality change the Cove's personality. Will it be so business minded that it all becomes about the money? Prices already border on the higher end for memberships. Food at both resteraunts are a bit higher than outside the gates. I, myself at this time am comfortable with the prices but one has to wonder with so many retired members on fixed incomes how will it affect the cove? How will he work with nude organizations and other resorts? Will our younger generation be able to come at all? I have talked to residents in the past and have been told that the members and weekend guests play a large part in keeping their costs down. What positive or negative effect will that have if things change. Sure hope we have nothing to be concerned about. Any other opinions?

Any other opinions?I only discovered CC, and hope that it does indeed maintain it's feel. Would even be better to improve, but we shall see. Thanks for the news on the change. I'm way up in Ohio, so the news doesn't come as fast for me.

I agree. Its a great place. Id just hate to see someone come in and take the friendly atmosphere away and start outpricing everything.

I've dry tent camped there a couple of times and although the costs of tent camping covers the daily admission, if they charge any more it will make it out of my comfort zone. Since I can usually only camp one night on the weekend they already charge an additional $10 which makes it $69. I do love the place though!
