RE: Sharing pictures

You do share some on your profile, remove the friends only if you want to share more.

RE: Sharing pictures

Just wanted to post on discussions I am not to computer savy lolLet's do it slowly, then.
Your image will be a .jpg file on a phone or computer. You need to upload that file to some site on the internet, the simplest is to upload it to True Nudists. Just make a mental note that if you do that the TN system will compress and process the image so much that it will be visibly degraded in quality and it will also add a ridiculously intrusive logo.
Another option is to upload to a third party image hosting system - Flickr is just one of a countless number, but the TN logo can be - avoided if you choose one of the third party options. You will need to set up an account before you use one of those systems.
You will need to work out how to upload - TN now has drag and drop which is pretty easy to use, shame that TN is about 5 years behind the trend on that one - Flickr and the others are much more user friendly.
Now you have your image on the internet somewhere. Open the image to view it and do -a right mouse click. What happens next depends on your browser - Internet Explorer and Firefox work in somewhat different ways. What you will need to find is "page info" or "image info", and you may need to open a subsidiary tab to find it. What you want is the internet address (URL) of the image you have stored - for it to work it must end in the symbols .jpg with probably quite a lot of apparently random characters preceding it.
Let's have an example:
Here is the URL of one of my photos on Flickr:
https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3953/15413607830_47482c8b29_o.jpg
I am now going to click on the image icon on the TN discussion dialogue box - just below the title, right hand icon. Then I will paste the URL into the dialogue box that opens:
Suddenly my image fills the screen - scroll down below it and add a title if you want and then sign off

RE: Sharing pictures

The ability to embed photos in discussion threads on TN has been
removed recently, that's why there are none showing in the post
above.

I'm guessing that its something to do with photos not being
approved by TN that way, as they could be hosted elsewhere
on the internet, all that was needed to embed them was a URL that
linked the post to the photos. Nor would they have the TN logos
that suggest our photos as being TNs and often obscure half a
nudist.

The pictures were mostly copied from the posting member's profile. They could be copied before approval and then the original removed from the profile. I would have thought that the site webmasters could find a way of letting us copy photos from our profiles again but only after they have been approved. That would allow us to illustrate our text without anyone straying into forbidden pictures.

A_HA! -- That answers MY questions as
well. No wonder I couldn't see any of those pix. - - - In the future, could we just post a picture in the PHOTO section
and make a reference to it in our DISCUSSION comments?
