Daring Nudists!!
For nudists who are not afraid of trying anything new! Such as getting naked at work after everyone leaves, streaking, Driving a car naked...Fun things that might get us into trouble that excites us. And please feel free to write about the craziest thing you done in the nude :)
Has anyone been warned to cover up or be arrested?
Return to DiscussionsUse good judgement, ask yourself if it's worth it if you get caught. Some things are riskier than others. Getting labeled a sex offender will do a lot of damage. Explain that to your spouse, kids, parents, work, etc. Some of my experiences...
MinnesotaWas stopped by MN state patrol while driving naked at night, covered up and she (yes, female trooper) came up and asked why I was naked. Said I was a nudist. She said ok and said to get my tail light fixed.
LouisianaWas driving and pulled off the road behind a closed gas station to catch some sleep - naked - before driving more. Cops arrived, pulled on my boxers, and when they came up to the car they said I could be arrested for being in my underwear. Didn't argue, that's crap, but they could have said trespassing, disturbing the peace or any number of things. Who's word do you think a local judge would believe?
Was off-roading and stripped to go to the beach. Was seen and cops came. Was arrested for trespass but reduced in court to disturbing the peace. Still, it was over $300.00. Could have shown up in the town paper arrest blotter as indecent exposure.
Stopped at local beach at night on the way home from work. I always drive naked the 45 min home. I try and carry boxers and sometimes a towel in case I get stopped. I was walked back towards the car and saw cop lights up ahead. Put on my boxers, threw the towel over my shoulder and stepped into ankle deep water and called out to the police. He was a game warden and he didn't have the opportunity to see me naked. He was more concerned about the beach being closed at night. Just a verbal warning.
AlabamaHiked the mountains naked and came back to the trail head and started to get dressed. Someone must have seen me from the road because the police came and I admitted I was changing. They said get dressed - the rest of the way - and move on.
I've learned over time:- Never go on private land. They will press charges even if the cops want to let you go.- I found out the hard way private land doesn't have to be posted "no trespassing" in Louisiana. It is assumed.- I prefer to hike naked in more remote national forest or wildlife refuges. But not because there is no federal law against nudity. because local laws apply in those areas as well.- I like like the exercise and like hiking forest service roads, old logging roads, bike trails, hiking trails, etc. I have used Google maps to find bridges in those area's and park on the side of the road and walk upstream to a sandbar for the day.- I visit the Gulf shoreline, again on public land, and hike far enough down not to offend anyone. Camped at the beach overnight once, walking back across a normally busy section of beach at dawn was exhilarating.- I was in scouts when I was young and I watch the tracks on the trails I walk looking for recent footprints, bike tracks, and 4x4 tracks to judge the risk level. Oh, and I also watch for the wildlife tracks! Have seen deer, etc and even picked up a starving dog once.- My SOP is to carry a bottle of water, cell phone for pics and emergencies, my keys and a pair of running shorts. Sometimes running shoes depending on trail conditions. If I get far enough out, I stash them along the trail.
Be safe, think ahead and have fun!
I am reminded of two incidents; both involving the border between
California and Arizona. Once on the way home from visiting nudist
friends, I was driving naked, my wife had on one of my Hawaiian
shirts. I thought I was high enough in my truck that I wouldn't be
seen so I proceeded to the agricultural stop at the border.
Usually, the officer will remain on the island and just ask the
questions, "Where are you coming from? Are you bring any
fruits or vegetables into the state?" We also say no
and they wave us through. This time, the official comes
over to the truck and is tall enough to see into the cab and
notices I'm naked. I think ... "damn, I'm busted. He's gonna
have me pull over." But he simply asks the questions, pats my
window opening a couple of times and says ... "enjoy the rest of
your day and please drive safe!" ... with a smile!
The second stop was going into Arizona and we, my wife and I and
our close nudist friends were in our motorhome headed for our other
close nudist friends home for a long weekend vacation.
This wives were afraid to be naked so they were sitting at the
dinette. Me and my friend were naked, me driving and he
riding shotgun. As we are driving an officer waves at
us to pull over into an inspection area. This guy's over 6'
tall. He comes over to the passenger window and can see me
naked and my friend had slipped on a shirt. He asked us
questions about the motorhome's fuel. He thought my motorhome
was diesel and they wanted to inspect the diesel to ensure I wasn't
using farm/agricultural diesel. When I told him, "no, this is
a gas engine," he said, "sorry, my mistake. Have a
continued safe drive," and waved us through.
Neither time did either of these officials make any reference to
my/us being nude. If they did think it was wrong or illegal
or possibly illegal, I suspect they would have alerted law
enforcement that I was driving naked but I/we never heard anything
about it.
