Post Office NUDE drive
Return to DiscussionsAs some of you out there know, I was raised in a nudist colony so for me, bein nude is just natural.
Yestersay [Sat.] I got an email that i had something in my post office box so being a Saturday i figured i would head down and clear it out before the normal deluge of Monday mail that i get.
It is a Business box so i get between 1200-1800 pieces of mail a month. More when it gets closer to a trade show that i am going to attend, and the current one is a week away so there's lots in there.
Sense its so nice out I decided to run downtown [Salt Lake City, Utah] and get it all. Took my wallet, my monstor mug of Pepsi, my keys, a pair of shortsand myself out into the car and take a nice drive to the Post Office.
It's was around 4 pm and being the downtown post office is a relitively busy one I was risking having someone call the cops on me, after all this IS the middle of "Mormon-viille" and the Mormons seem as a whole to think of nudism as a SIN or some such nonsense.
Driving nude is something I have done on a regular basis as like I said I am not ashamed of my body. I got to the post office and the parking lot was about half full so there MIGHT be a few people in there. 4pm on a Sat. is after hours so it was going to be interesting to see reactions. I parked, left everything but myself & keys in car, got out and in I went. As I entered someone came out oblivious to me as he was texting. The person behind him glanced over seing me naked looked away with embarassment. Two other patrons were checking their boxes and a couple more were getting stamps or something out of the vending machine. I continued over to me box, got all the contents out and proceeding to the trash counter to sort the mail to dump all the junk that i did not want to take home. I was NOT nerviousin the slightest.
After dumping all the garbage mail I proceeded out to my car seeing three more cars pull up. Two people were behind me as i walked out. Don't know if any of them decided to catch me on their cell phones, but one lady getting out of her car did, and I just smiled at her. She seemed more like she wanted the pic for the fun of it than anything else.
After she got the pic she asked me "So you're not embarassed about being in public?" I replied "Hell no, I was raised in a nudist colony." She shuckled and continued into the post office. I got in my car and left feeling quite good about the whole outing.
Well, Paul-Lortz, it's not just that you were bold and daring; it's also that the folks around you were easy and accommodating, and you had no reason to count on them exactly ... But it is a testimony to the way that people are more accepting than we are able to think of them as being some times.
