DeAnza Springs Resort

There was a group for DeAnza but the owner has been off line for three years so I decided to create a new group. DeAnza Springs is the largest and one of the newest clothing optional resorts in North America. Situated on more than 500 acres of high desert (at 2600 feet) in Eastern San Diego County, it is ideal for year-round vacationing. The Resort is comprised of 311 spacious RV sites, most with...

Cell signal with Weboost

Return to Discussions

Anybody have any experience with using a Weboost cell booster at DeAnza Resort? I know cell service is really bad and WiFi at the clubhouse seems like the only way to get on the internet. But I plan to visit next week to relax and focus on work stuff. I am installing the Weboost today and hope to try it there. But I know this booster only works if there is some kind of signal. Or am I wasting my time because there is no signal at all there? Would appreciate anyone elses experience.

Depends are where you are staying, the motel has good signal and so does the oasis. The clubhouse signal is always good too.

I plan to be in my trailer at a full hook up spot. Which spot I dont know. So I am hoping this Weboost will help me make calls from my trailer. Or else I will need to head to the club house WiFi for calls.

RE:Cell signal with Weboost

So here is my report.
I camped in on of the RV spots near the clubhouse. So I was able to get WiFi in my trailer. I was able to hook my Roku to it and stream a movie. Only once did it stop and I had to wait to buffer. But there was only 2 other RVs there so I am assuming I was the only one streaming. If there were more I dont think I could have streamed the movie.

As for the Weboost, I had only 1 bar with ATT service. The weboost only added 1 bar for me so when I streamed a movie it came through but pixelated. I was also able to get some text and calls out. But it still wasnt great. The one thing with this weboost is that it can only strengthen the signal it has so because the cell tower is in another side of the rock hill, it was very week to start.

Conclusion; if you want to get some work done best to go to the clubhouse. I went there for an important conf call and had no issues with WiFi calling. The weboost did not boost enough to make a real difference. But I dont think it was the equipment. I think it was the extremely low signal to begin with.

I hope this post helps.
