I have gone commando a few times at the gym but i usually go running before i go to the gym so i am wearing underwear to keep the rash away.
San Onofre you have to wear shorts. It is illegal to be nude in a state park. So I wear just shorts with no underwear or shirt. Once I get to the area where nudity was once ok, I usually take the shorts off and hold them in my hand or toss them in my chair. The park rangers rarely go down in this area so I am usually safe. If its not safe I wait until I am past the fence line.
Also driving to San Onofre I usually strip down and drive nude. Having the state park parking pass they dont stop you. They just wave you on by. Now if it is in the middle of summer and the camp grounds are open then I usually have the shorts on my lap Incase anyone is close enough to peek in. I dont need my fun cut short.

Same here in Florida. I even heard of a person getting arrested for wearing a thong or g-string in the parking lot of Apollo Beach's nude access (Lot 5). It's a National Park and I believe they are against the law in them.
It is legal to be nude on Federal lands, including National Parks. Therefore, thongs and g-strings are most likely legal. BUT, the Federal government allows local jurisdictions to enforce local laws on Federal lands at their discretion. Apollos nudism status changes depending upon who is the Brevard sheriff or the head park ranger at the time.

Ah your US laws are so complicated! And why not put the beach car park next to the beach? I'm used to laws in the UK and many parts of Europe which do NOT make it illegal to be naked in public, especially near a nudist beach. I'm also used to drivers who park as near as they can to the beach - to bad if it's not in the car park. The exception is if the beach is part nude and part textile. Then the nude part is nearly always reached by walking through the textile part, for which cover is required

About how often do you "wear" each in warm weather?
I essentially never wear a shirt at home unless I am cold.
I wear shorts quite a bit because our grandson spends most of the summer with us.
I am in UK and I believe the law states it is only an offence to be nude in public if the intention is to cause alarm or offence.
That is correct. But why freeball ONLY under shorts. I always freeball and don't have any underwear.
