I wonder why there appears to be this double standard ? Having an open neck shirt and revealing skin or chest hair (something I personally love to see) nobody bats an eye. I think 98% of guys, here in the UK at least, don't wear any kind of undershirt but would never consider freeballing / going commado.
They dont know what they're missing out on when it comes to comfort and freedom

My guess is that a lot more than 2% of men in the UK freeball.
But why more don't my guesses are:
Never really considered it.
Concern that the outline of their equipment would be too noticeable.
Fear of leakage.
Fear of wardrobe malfunction.

As someone who goes Commando in the UK, i would suggest the figure is less than 98%, i think a lot of men wear undies as they consider it unhygienic to go Commando, also if like me i always wore underwear as a child, i did find it strange to go freeballing, but having the freedom i would never go back
