Just got my first tan
Return to DiscussionsSometimes I think I should cover a spot on my body when tanning to create a reference point to see how far I've come. I find i have to go a fair way before my tan is obvious to the casual observer.
But then, i figure that in addition to it being a hassle to maintain the spot, it would ruin my tan!

I have got a wedding ring that i never take off, and slide it up to see how tanned i am

Same here.
My armpits are very pale compared to the rest of me. I practically have tanlines where my back meets my pits. You can also compare armpit color to the wrist of the other arm. No doubt there are similar color shifts in my crotch or butt cheeks, but it's easier for me to see my armpits in the mirror

I also lie on my side reading a book, which helps to tan my side, and not leave a tan line around my armpits
