What to say on "pajama day" at work

Return to Discussions

Last week I was working at an agency which had a "wear your pajamas to work and get a coupon for free meal" to celebrate something. There were a few people running around in lounge wear and robes but not everyone participated.Ididn't know about the event before I arrived, and commented to one of the staff, whoasked jokingly "don't youever wear your pajamaswhen you're working?" I just smiled broadly and jokingly said"sure, all the time." Not sure she quite caught my drift, but I just realized that always wear my nightclothes to work. She sort of drifted off with"oh, I suppose when you're working at home." Well, not just then. It's just too bad that I couldn't wear ONLY my nightwear to work. Howfun would that be?

I would love that, given that my night wear is my birthday suit!

If I was doing a PJ day, it'd have to fake it with sweats and a T. Don't own PJs or a robe

Along those lines a small town near here in the heart of Indiana Amish country had a special sale back in Feb. Folks were encouraged to shop in the PJs to get special discounts early on a Sat morn. It was tempting to go up there and bare all even though the tempwas well below freezing I would have streaked from store to store for bargains

Google The Bold Italic. Its a company that decided that everyone could come to work naked for a month. Most excellent, but not sure some of my coworkers should participate.
