Stainless steel is more common and many different varieties. Silver is beautiful and gets expensive.

Baby bracelets are silver and easy to find. You can go to a silver smith, but they may not understand. Oh maybe get lucky at a jewelry store to find a helpful salesman.

What is important is getting the correct size first. Lets say you were going to be at the resort all day in the sun. Not planning on getting hard, wear a little tighter ring or even a more decorative ring. But then at night when going to the dinner at a new friends house. Just a little loser for growing room. Big thing after so it will come off.

Hi Gaucher,
Ed B. here. A couple years ago I got interested in acquiring a cock ring and spent quite some time coming to a decision about size and design. I had bought an Esculpta 55mm ergonomic ring, but it was a poor fit, too big, and just not the look I wanted.
I continued searching online and was quite smitten with the exquisite but expensive rings on KingRings.com. Take a look. If you decide to get yourself one, I think you'll be pleased. They're good and good value for the money. But I decided they were rather more garish for my tastes, too large, too heavy, and I didn't want to spend that much money. I did get a set of sizing rings from King, however, and they were invaluable in helping me determine the right size.
Part of any decision about a cock ring is in how you intend to use it. I wanted mine as a simple, tasteful item of men's jewelry, not as a sex toy. (At my age, I'm not looking for help in maintaining an erection, nice as that would be.) I finally found NyteRings.com, run by a silversmith named Maarten in the Netherlands. He has several models that caught my eye, and he states in the description that they comfortably fit the male anatomy and can be worn 24/7. I finally settled on the Vidar model in 22-carat gold. He offers several standard sizes, including 50mm and 55mm. But I asked him to customize it to 52mm. I also had an inscription added on the inside of the ring for an addition fee. It's a great fit, and I've been delighted with it.
Hope this helps. Warm regards.
Ed

An easy place to start is the rope-and-chain section of your local hardware store. Mine has circular stainless rings of 40 mm and 28 mm internal diameter, yours may have similar options. I found the 40 mm to be perfect for me (and I can wear multiple rings to add depth) while the 28 mm behind the glans could be smaller but stays on in all situations except surf. At the very least it's an easy starting point and may give you a better idea of what to select from more-specialised vendors afterwards.

Another option is a rubber o-ring assortment to help gauge size, although their flexibility makes taking on and off less of an issue compared to rigid metal.

Thanks Ed, great advice. I can see theres much fun to be had! Ill check out those suggestions - money not really a problem, I would rather pay a bit extra for something discreet, comfortable and good quality.
Regards,
Neil.

Thanks Ed for the very informative information. I plan to order the sizing rings, because I want a glans ring in addition to a cock ring.

Hi Hudson,
Delighted you're into rings. I own a glans ring too but don't wear it as much. And never with my cock ring. Too much bling!
Let me know what you decide on. Here's a pic of me in my camo sports kilt showing the Vidar.
Cheers, Ed

I wear a steel cock ring. I've had it for about 20 years. Size matters. I was third time lucky. My first was too slack and I gave it to a friend. The second was too tight: I can get it on easily enough but have to squeeze my bigger testicle to get it off. The third was just right - perfect.

I plan to start wearing a frenum ring again this summer. I have quite a big perforation which has never closed, so I've bought a couple of heavy rings (4mm and 5mm diameter).

I can see size matters as well as how, where and when the rings will be worn. I made an adjustable sizing ring by buying a 45mm dia narrow steel ring, cutting it open (C from an O) and stretched it open slightly to about 58mm. I then got a small length (approx 30mm) of narrow, clear plastic tubing from a discarded spray bottle and inserted it between and over the two ends, bridging the gap and closing the ring. I then put it on and I could bend the ring open and closed within the plastic tubing until it was most comfortable. Then through the clear plastic tubing I could see the ends of the steel ring and marked them with a Sharpie pen. I took it off and measured the diameter (in my case 53mm). Perfect!
