Return to DiscussionsJust treat people like people. Sexuality has nothing to do with being nude in their presence. If you like hanging out with someone, then do. If you find them obnoxious or difficult to be around, then don't! Nudism is a great equalizer: someone can drive a Ferrari and wear designer clothes, but on a nude beach, they're just like everyone else.......

I must admit I hesitate when I get a friend request that states gay in the profile. But I have the same hesitation from a single straight woman. Both because I am not here for sex, but good conversation. Especially when no message comes with it or a plain hello. Now if a good message comes through discussing what we might have in common, then the sexual preferences go out the window. At least this is how I review friend requests.
Good question; and here's my idea of nudist gay friends.I've been a part of TN a long time. The first step is to separate nudity from sex. You can have nudity without sex, and sex without nudity. However, nudity without sex is way more fun or more comfortable than sex without nudity.Sex is not my agenda here and I stick pretty solid to my word. So, a question to ask is, " If you are not going to have sex; what difference does one's orientation make to your friendship?"Keep that in mind and use a little caution. There are some amazing people on TN that are gay and I am happy to have them as my friends.
And that is the hardest part for non-nudist to understand.... nudity can exist without sex??? They think that's crazy - the world loves labels: LEFT/RIGHT... GAY/STRAIGHT... DEM / REP... anything to divide and separate!!

To me at this age and with knowledge. I don't care if your straight,Gay, or bisexual. I discovered about myself that I wanted to accept my hearing loss since birth. So that was the wild horse that I had lassos! Took me a while.what took me awhile was people in general. There's all kinds and that's when I was learning about myself at a younger age. Now or should I say 25 years ago. I have learned that I enjoy Nudisum because that's is me. Also enjoy talking with other that is acceptable to the practice. I'm not judgemental by all means. I just know how people work. I just want to live my life with no judgement. Hmm

We have had the privilege of meeting some wonderful couples and singles ( male & female) through TN of all sexual orientations. In fact one of our true friends is a lovely nudist gay couple that we spend quality time with. If you happen to view our profile media you will see lots of interaction with these guys and others. Here's something for straight men (who are conflicted about hanging with gay men) to consider. Just like we nudists insist that nudity doest not equal sex. Similarly, just because you are a man does not mean a gay man will automatically want to have sex with you.
