Hi Wolfsteve,
Yes, I do worry about the urine leakage and nerve damage due to the surgery. I think Ive got a skilled surgeon though. He went over all the worst case scenarios as well as other treatment options. The robotic surgery seems most agreeable to me. Im still trying to sort things out though.

Thank you for your kind words and advice.

Thank you! I am glad to hear of your progress and results. I appreciate your sharing your experience. It is very helpful to me as I get my head around the immediate and long term changes that are ahead. I am relieved to know that when sexual function returns, it will feel the same as before the surgery.

I never expected I would ever be so concerned about things like this but I realize now how much they are wrapped up in my identity as a male. I never gave it a thought until I might no longer have it.

Indeed! I am fortunate in that my urologist is one of the best as well.

RE:Prostate Surgery and Nudism

At 57 I went in for my annual, got a call back from my GP before I got home that I have a appointment the following day with a urologist. My annual PSA test went off the charts. Long story short I chose to have it yank because of my young age and aggressive cells count. Next came the month long searching for the right surgeon. I knew I found the right one when he said that his goal isnt only to make me cancer free but to maintain bladder control and sexual function . He did mention that my erections wont be the same, and I will need to send my cock to erection classes post recovery. Classes included sexual simulation, lots of jo, taking that little blue pill. Fast forward a decade, I am a nudist, comfortable in my own skin. enjoying my cock and love the lack of needing to clean up. Cuming isnt the end all of sexual satisfaction. The important thing is that I am alive, thanks goodness for having those baseline PSA tests.

Ready343 you are correct. The most important thing is that you are still alive and able to talk about your experiences. My Urologist also suggested a daily exercise program to maintain and improve erections.

Thank you for your post. It is very helpful. My storyline follows yours quite closely. My urologist will do the surgery. And he has basically said the same thing in terms of maintaining bladder control and regaining sexual function. I am glad to hear there can be a return to a full nudist and sexual life!

Thanks Steve! Hes only a couple of years younger than me and appreciates the fact that I have to live with this for a long time. He specifically discussed penis rehab as part as of the post op protocol so hes definitely aware of my concerns.

RE:Prostate Surgery and Nudism

Having had Prostate Surgery myself when I had just turned 50 and was the youngest person in the urologist's waiting I can repeat all what others before me in answer to your questions but will urge you to ask for the decision to operate not to be based on one PSA test result but several other PSAs over a period of time - a month or two at least There should be more tests done and not just the finger probe test. Even an MRI scan and urine tests. My urologists did all this plus different tests then with my consent shared the results of all my tests with his peers for their conclusions what to do which he shared with me before concluding he needed to operate. I should add at my first appointment I initiated the conversation about my sex life ie importance of having an erections plus nudist lifestyle so when we talked about the pending the operation he explained his operation would be different go an different route to the routine prostate removal operation to avoid internal sensory nerve damage so I could still (and do) experience with coaxing an erection and what is termed a dry ejaculation. My advise is talk to your urologist about your fears as mental trauma is a big issue with this operation, educate him about your sex life especially (I gave mine my copy of The Joy of Gay Sex to read and now my urologist often asked me to have a reassuring conversation with some his Gay patience like I am doing here) and you have the right to ask for a second opinion or/and more tests, ask him questions about what approach he is taking to remove your prostate so you will still have bladder control and can get an erection and ejaculation sensation what are the alternatives why did he not choose those As far as having this operation on your nudism in my case there was no longterm visible impact - immediate post operation as someone previously wrote I was given diappers until I could resume control of my bladder and there had been some minor shaving of my pubes and balls. Any questions or more conversation please message and good luck - Peter
