Return to DiscussionsDoes anyone else had the frustrating and frankly maddening experience where one is friends with someone for a while, establishing a great relationship, forging a positive rapport, messaging/e-mailing back and forth with interesting and stimulating dialog and conversation and all of a sudden nothing!!! Silence!!!! Even after repeated messages/e-mails no response!! One can see that they have logged on and read one's message without answering!!!! We find it very, very frustrating!!!! What is there that one could do??? Unfriend, block???!!!
I've only been here a short time and have had the same problem with new friends. I thought the chats were fun and interesting and then I don't hear another word. I can only assume they didn't think the chats were the same as I did.
Yah, that happens now and then. They fizzle away for some reason or another. Not much you can do about it except move on. My way of doing things is this......if I send a message, I won't send another until they message back. If I never get a message then it's s done deal. If they do message then the conversation keeps going. If they decide to stop then......Oh Well, Such is Life.
There's just no way to know what's happening on the other end in
the real life of whomever you're messaging. It's entirely
possible that they've been drawn away suddenly for a very valid
reason. Just hope it's not some tragic reason. Then wish them well
and let it go. You may run into them again someday. Or maybe not.
I have 2-3 friends that I keep in contact with from here, I consider them close contacts as we have exchanged e-mail and phone numbers to text back and forth. At times we don't text for a couple weeks then at some point we both get the timing to just text back and fourth.
It's just like having friends from the past, some times the stars align so you can chat.

Yes many of times it suck idk y this happens
I have had that happen a few times myself. The worst was somebody I was trying to talk to friendly a couple times and they didn't say a word and all this and blocked me after two messages to them which were as respectful as possible. Some people are just shady like that
to me it sounds like they just want to pick and choose he to be friends with but to me it is their lose because u sond like lovely couple when and if they come back to u ask them straight why they dont come back to u put them on the spot and sit back at relax and enjoy the friend u have that are true
I think I said something about this a year or so ago, and I don't think it had changed much. Yes there are some who honestly would like to keep up with friends but for the most part it just seems like this friendship list is nothing more than just a competition. Who can get the biggest friends list.
