Wow! Another amazing week's hiking with NEWT! Just as last year the weather was mostly kind to us and the surroundings stunning. I guess those thunder storms might have been a but harsh on your roving tent group, Rollie, but it was good to see you all in high spirits when we met up. Hut B might have had all the home comforts but we, in hut A, had good food, alcohol, wonderful scenery and friendly cows. Our base may have been higher than anywherenear my homeand we climbed even higher, conquering mountains of 1642m, 1720m and a bit over 2000m. They are all higher than Ben Nevis (1344m) or Snowdon (1085m), the two highest mountains here in the UK. And we had clear cool lakes to swim in.
