After having a really tough time at my job, I really started to reflect on how much of my life was focused on conforming to others expectations . My new mantra became "Because I Can"!
Other than a few midnight skinny dips at our cabin on the lake as a boy when no one was around, I'd never been naked outside of the shower/bedroom. I guess it was my upbringing and society that made it so taboo.
I have always been curious about nudism and last year I said "screw it, I'm gonna get naked.....because I can!" uh...... but what is my wife going to think?
I started just reading in my recliner in the morning before work and before my wife woke up (sounds silly now but even that felt daring for me). I loved just sitting around naked. One off day I stayed there until she woke up and joined me for coffee. She didn't say anything at first but then asked why I was naked. I told her "because I can"! She got that, as she knew what I was going through, but she still thought it was weird, then asked me to please sit on a towel. Acceptance was a good thing!
The next hurdle was to go outside, so one evening after a late shift and some liquid courage, I stepped out the back door onto the patio, even though my head was screaming "you're breaking the rules".
F... the rules, I'm doing this! It was like I entered into a new world full of peace and freedom. How amazingly liberating it was. Almost like I broke out of a prison.
Now I'm naked inside and outside as much as practical, and I love it. My wife has been okay with it as well, most of the time. :)
As I write this now, it sounds so ridiculous to have such psychological block about being naked as I did. Society and other people's thinking control us in so many ways and stifle us as individuals. It Is really quite pathetic that we let this happen.

Hi FreeLee. No your story doesn't sound ridiculous at all. A lott of us discovered "because I can" in a eureka moment. Lucky you to have an understanding wife. Hope you enjoy yourselves in new ways. Indeed a Happy New Year ( and a little naked Christmas cheer today).
I feel the same way. Because I can both my wife work hard for the things we have and if I want to be nude inside and outside my home I will also because I can. We also have twin boys who enjoy sharing nude time with me in our hot tub . the boys are only nude when hot tubbing . does anyone feel that it's OK for my son's and I to enjoy this . the wife and I enjoy our nude time together but she does not with the boys

You will get a range of opinions about the boys. I think it is absolutely healthy for dad and boys to be naked together. I see it often at the gym and see well adjusted kids. If you are a nudist household it would make sense that they would be comfortable with mother being naked too but if she is uncomfortable about it then they may pick up on that. I have heard that as kids enter puberty they sometimes prefer more privacy but I am sure that varies with the tone set in the household.

I think its vital for dads and sons to share nude time together. I see it at my gym on the weekends and at the Korean spa I enjoy from time to time. When a boy is brought up that nudity is natural it has to be a big step to self acceptance, entry way for question about
The differences in men, body hair, gentile size and cut or uncut. Mostly the boys are going to learn how much alike we all are and how to leave the bull-shit with our clothes.
I can really relate. My yard is quite private and I love to be outside weather permitting. The wife went naked in our small pool we have for cooling off in the summer but it was tough for her.
Right now our 30 year old son and his girlfriend are sharing the house until they can buy. They are not nudist but are okay with me doing whatever when they're not home. So I cant be naked all the time unless I hang out in my study area in the bedroom...not so bad!
I take advantage of every outside warm moment I can as I also love the all over tan. Need my vitamin D. :)
