Nude Football Fans

A place to talk football with other nudists. I'd love for this group to have lots of discussion about all things football, even if it's not directly something with your team.

Hey group, I thought writing Peyton off as being done in week one was a bit too early to call by the "experts." I was surprised to see him barely squeak out a win on Thursday after the Bronco's forced 5 turnovers. Usually, that would mean a blowout for Manning and the Broncos. Any thoughts? I don't think he is washed up as the experts say, I believe this is his spring training and we should watch steady improvement under the new offence in Denver.
Any thoughts folks??

RE: Peyton Manning

I wouldn't write Peyton off, but he does not seem to have the same arm strength he had before all the neck surgeries. He also appears more easily rattled when opposing defenders can get to him. Just my observations. He's still the smartest QB in the NFL.

I thought his arm strength was back to full strength when he first began with the Broncos. Last season, prior to his injuries late in the year, he still looked to be throwing bullets and the long ball with quite a bit of accuracy. I do have to agree about being rattled more with the opposing defenses getting to him, but wonder if that isn't due to the fact that he doesn't trust his offensive line. As for him being the smartest QB in the NFL, he certainly is right up there in the top 3. Manning, Brady, and Breeze, fans can all make a good claim for being the smartest.

He went to the Bronco's for one reason only and that was to manipulate his stats in the thin area of Denver, when it comes to the crunch though he has always been a bottler.

It's not just my view - a lot of the guys st work think he has lost a bit of his arm strength. A number of sports writers/commentators ( or hacks if you prefer) have started referring to his noodle arm. Those surgeries have had some effect on him, unfortunately. He's still z good team leader.

Yes, I do still think he has lost some arm strength, even after last nights game. Do I think he is still one of the best ever to play the game, Yes I do. However, at 39 and with the injuries he has had, it's only normal.

Well, he looked good last Sunday after Osweiler was pulled. Looks like he still has some magic left. Actually, hope the Broncos go all the way - I really would like to see Peyton go out with another Superbowl ring.
