Read about some trails here and had some time to explore. The day was gray but not cold so i went for it. The general area is west of main park entrance off minnewaska trail road then ultimately shaft road. Walk past aquaduct property and into woods to foot of falls . There is an area at the top of the falls where nudity is often the norm. A trail well maintained leads to the top of the falls. Faitly steep with several switchbacks and one steel rung ladder mounted in the rock. At the top of the falls the stream runs over flat rocks and over the falls mostly dry in early October . Im sure its not like this always. I stripped down and enjoyed exploring the stream and surrounding banks for at least an hour without seeing anyone. As i descended the trail back to the top of the falls i came upon a young clothed couple, they seemed quite put out by my nudity. So i just kept walking without interacting as the guy shouted to keep moving.hmm i had been about to dress again when they surprised me at a bend in the trail. As it worked out I had a great time discovering a new to me, nude spot. Cant wait for return of warm weather to return.
