Nude Modeling

This group is for all of us who have found the joy of modeling nude, be it for an art class, professional photographer, or a free lance artist. Or maybe you're someone who's always thought about modeling naked for class or artist. Here is where you can share your experience, both serious and funny, or if you're new to it, ask questions to see if it's something you seriously want...

Getting A Nude Modeling Gig

What is the best way to get a nude modeling job? Any suggestions? I'm a public school teacher so it's a bit delicate :)

I've also connected with artists and photographers though various online bulletin boards, conversation groups, etc....as well as on here. Try googling "artists" or "photographers", or "life models" and your city/zip code and see what comes up.

For me, I found local, private groups to model for. You don't have to worry about state/county pay systems. Public colleges usually go through state reimbursement so try the private universities if there are any about. Go to local art shows and ask artists who paint/draw figurative subjects.
Have fun, it can be a blast

Try joining a modeling site such as modelmayem.com - you can set your profile so that only other members can see it, and it's a good way to meet other models, photographers, and artists. Some are professionals, while others are more interested in getting experience than in financial compensation. Good luck!

I pose for local art groups... the best way is to contact local arts organizations directly and ask if they use figure models for classes or groups, or if they can suggest groups who do.
Having said that, posing is NOT always easy. You have to be able to come up with interesting poses and be able to hold them for long periods of time. Some facilitators/instructors are easy to work with, some are difficult and demanding. I enjoy it a lot, but it's not as simple as it sounds.
