Off Grid Living , Renewable Energy

I am an independent contractor building an off grid home in the national forest. This group is for folks interested in knowing more about the project, but also a place to share your own construction related stories. Hi EveryoneFor a while now I've been wanting and dreaming of buying some land and setting up a eco friendly camp-site somewhere in Europe, I had My hopes and dreams quashed this weekend when I discovered that a plot of land I was keen on had sold. After some thought I decided that another option would be to invest into an existing established project that maybe looking for an additional share holder.Another option would be if other people are in the same position as myself would be interested in setting up a joint venture, with no restrictions to individual financial investments, I think that the onlyimportant requirement isambition and initially hard work.I'ma young55 male who spent my working life as a security engineer, I am a hands on guy that has acquired many skills including electrical skills, plumbing, woodworking, to many to list, without sounding to big-headed I'm a goodall-rounder.There must be other people out there that share the same forward looking ambitions as myself and I would welcome any thoughts advice even if you know someone who knows someone I would love to hear from you.All responses will be answered and appreciated.Best Regards to allAlan

If you're looking for sweat equity as well as financial involvement, you should probably give an idea of where you want to do this.

Hey thanks buddy Yeah I should have mentioned that, If interested people are willing to work hard we can come to some sort of arrangement that would be mutually agreeable, one possible idea is that they get to owna small section of the main plot, This is all new to me andI only have a certain amount of funds available, this could, if set up correctly planned could be Eden ( think I just found a name ) but it needs a lot blood sweat and a few tears oh and finance.I'll keep this post updated as things move along. All comments appreciated Regards Alan

RE: Looking for Naturist Investment

For Sale Katikati Naturist Park
Due to a change in circumstances this unique and very
profitable business is for sale. As we need to sell, we are
offering it to buyers with two attractively priced options.
First, the Leasehold Business at $295,000, or alternatively
the Freehold Going Concern at $1,695,000.
Leasehold Business:
For the $295,000 you get a 30-year lease, all the chattels,
plant and equipment, the customer base/goodwill it has
taken us 20 years to build, and after all operating expenses
and annual rent have been paid a personal income
including the rental value of the house of over $100,000
Freehold Going Concern:
For the realistic $1,695,000 you get to own all the land,
buildings (including the modern 3-bedroom house),
chattels, plant, and goodwill. But, since you will not be
paying rent, the operating cash surplus after paying all the
business expenses will be around $170,000-$180,000.
The park is set in 5.7 hectares (14 acres approx.) of
beautifully manicured grounds and features motel type
units, cabins, caravans, fifty-one powered sites and over
twenty tent sites. Amenities include an in-ground
swimming pool, spas and a sauna. There is a mini golf
course, petanque and many other activities for guest and
day visitors to enjoy.
Katikati Naturist Park has a great reputation in New
Zealand and overseas. Just look at the Rankers and
Happy Camping reviews you can link to from our website
www.katikati-naturist-park.co.nz. This is your chance to
live the naturist lifestyle and make a very good income.

Thanks for that info buddy .
That is one amazing place and for the right person it would be a viable option, but what amazes me is the shear greed of the free holder $ 1.6 to renew the leasehold just crazy, hence the current proprietors wanting to sell whilst they can still get some sort of a return for there hard work.
It's just another typical example ofhow this planet is being ruined and exploited by governments and tycoons, and another reason for myself wanting to get away, as far as possible form all this greed, corruption and legalised crime.

I think India would be an option but I'm not sure how a Naturist retreat would be accepted.
As an example here in the UK it has taken many decades of campaigning and ploughing through red tape to emphasise the point that naturism is a lifestyle and not something else.
Its very sad that in this stage of our evolution we can't even be accepted for who we are, what we are no mater our race, creedor skin colour.
I have a very close Indian friend whowas born and lived in Madras for 30 years, I'll have to ask him what he thinks.RegardsAlan

So if enough number of naturists come together and set up a nudist colony, it's feasible.
BTW my post wasn't meant as an invitation to India. It's more like following what's working in other areas of the world and try to replicate it here.
