Since my early 20's, I've worn a speedo style suit when I went to the beach. My flirtation with public nudity began in my early 40's with a trip to Provincetown. My partner and I wore our suits because we were sitting near the parking lot at Herring Cove. We decided to walk down the beach. After some distance we began to encounter naked men laying out and standing in the water. We decided to go into the water. Once in, we took off our suits. The freedom is swimming in the ocean without something on was exhilarating! We weren't brave enough to get out of the water naked so we put our suits back on before exiting.

My first full pubic nudity was a couple of years later. We were on a cruise to Hawaii. The ship docked in the island of Maui. I had made arrangements for a car rental and make plans to go to Little Beach. After arriving in the parking lot, we hiked to the cliff and climbed over to the clothing optional side. There were quite a few people there for a weekday. We found a spot in the shade and set up the blanket. We both kept our suits on (I was in my speedo). After about 30 minutes, I thought to myself "I'm never going to see these people again" and off came the suit. Best decision I ever made. Spent the rest of our time there naked. After that, I've tried to arrange vacations to stop somewhere naked along the way. Now, when I'm in Florida, I spend as much time as I can at Blind Creek Beach.
