Adult Content. Don't upload images, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples this includes content that is so photorealistic that it could be mistaken for featuring real-life humans (nice try, though). Certain types of artistic, educational, newsworthy, or political content featuring nudity are fine. Dont upload any content, including images, videos, GIFs, or illustrations, that depicts sex acts. For more information about what this guideline prohibits and how to appeal decisions about adult content.

As with almost anything a few use it for more than just self expression and into stuff from the 'dark' world that most of us have no idea it's there. Just like when CL banned personal postings due to the new law, a new site is already out there though not as open as CL was.
The politically Correct right wingers (and possibly left wingers) are over reacting as usual. Its bizarre! It's OK to show dead bodies, but not nude bodies. Where is the logic? It's OK to show war and guns, but the peaceful nude body? It akin to going to a movie, if you don't like it, dont watch. Is the nude body any different?
People will move their material to Flickr until the same thing happens to them, and so on, Truenudists and Trueswingers could be next
Errr. If it happened to True Nudists the site's very existence would be in question. How can you ban nudism on a nudist website! There are some who claim it results from some new US legislation. If that's the case simply base the website somewhere else - in Europe for example. In Britain the law makes a big distinction between nudity (which is not illegal in public) and porn/sex. TN makes the same distinction. So move it to the UK.
Tumbler was recently sold / taken over by another company. New owners make new rules. I remember Kraft telling Cadbury's how to make chocolate even though they'd done it since chocolate was invented.
I have downloaded everything I can from Tumblr as a precaution. But let's not over react. There is an alternative website found which can take on the Tumblr blogs. Let's give it a chance.
Tumblr owned by Yahoo who have a long history of buying and wrecking popular websites. Tumblr was once a great blogging platform and much like the acquisition of Flickr, Yahoo got its hands on it and completely pushed out its most influential user-base until the majority of the content isn't worth logging in to view anymore. It's their own fault that it's mostly porn. Once it started moving in that direction there was no coming back. As soon as you see Yahoo buying one of your favorite websites, start saying your goodbyes early.
It is sad that nudity is not separated from sexual content, but I had already stopped using Tumblr, because I found myself searching for nudist content, finding porn, and becoming hooked on the porn. So for me, Tumblr became a self banned forum for nudity anyway. Its sad because there really was some beautiful non sexual nudity on Tumblr and some free thinkers that I really enjoyed following.
It's shame, as there are some beautiful nude images on Tumblr, including sexual activity. Sex is as natural as nudity. Sex is beautiful! I have saved my favourite images. Incidentally, I only joined Tumblr after a nudist friend sent me two of my own nude photos that he had downloaded from Tumblr. The photos were ones I had posted on True Nudists!
