Playalinda/Apollo Beach

A group for those of us that like to go to Playalinda and Apollo Beach on the east coast of Florida.

My wife and I were thinking about going to Apollo Beach, and we would like some information. We have been to Playlinda, and there is a fee to get in - is there a fee at Apollo? There is limited parking at Playlinda - is it the same at Apollo? When is the best time to arrive? (parking and available beach space)

RE: apollo beach

Apollo is part of the playlinda federal park system, so its the same fee. The parking at apollo is way smaller in numbers than playlinda. So here is my advice, if you want a parking spot be there before 7:15 0n weekends. 8 or 9 on weekdays. With the weather so nice you can come later and wait for a spot to open up. The park is open now until 8 and makes for a nice afternoon on the beach if your not interested in suntan.
Lot 4 is also full of nudists and an option if 5 is full.
Hope that helps...

RE: apollo beach

Both Playalinda and Apollo are part of the Canaveral National Seashore. I believe the fee is the same for both. And with the minimal parking spaces available there is plenty of beach for all. Too bad there isn't a shuttle service available. That would be great.
