Return to DiscussionsI've shaved on many occasion in the past and like it for the first day, but don't care for the bristle the few days after.
Seems like a hassle sometimes with a razor, too many strokes for a good job and I especially don't like hacking up my hardware.
Been giving myself haircuts for quite some time now and have become quite good at it with my Wahl clippers. As good as my barber.
(We had a barter system, he cut my hair for a 4 pound bag of French Roast coffee)
Now I just cut everything with my Wahl. First my head, then everything else. I just use the shortest attachment down below.
I get virtually the same feel I like without the fear of nipping any skin, razor burn or stubble.
I don't think it works well on gray hair. Maybe it's too course. Maybe I should be using the powder kind you have to mix instead of the cream. I also use magic shave
I use the Magic Shave powder. The regular does fine. The extra strength burns more and the fragrance don't mix well or work as well. None unfortunately remove the gray. I always pluck them afterward. They come right out.

I have way too much gray to pluck. I'd be there all night. Tried waxing myself and it was a big fail. Tried using an electric razor and it nipped my balls. Sticking with shaving with the grain. Found that shaving the balls without shaving cream worked the best for me. For the pubes I use Trader Joes shaving cream/lotion. works really well and it moisturizes too.

I like shaving on my front porch or back porch, but I will shave in shower. I use just soap and water. I've tried oils, but they clog my multi blade razor too much. I use a 4 or5 blade razor and get a nice close shave.
I shave from time to time.. I want to try waxing hopefully it wont hurt to bad and it takes longer to grow back
Quite like the idea and notion on going smooth.
What's the best method(s) by the way and the least inconvenient? Hoping for some good answers.

I've just shaved off down there by simply using a Gilette Styler. Looks quite clean and smooth but I think still not good enough. Perhaps next step will be using a multi blade razor for that nice close shave lol.
